Estimation of selected financial and operational data of the PKP CARGO Group for 9 months of 2024

Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. in restructuring (“Company”, “PKP CARGO”) publishes estimated selected consolidated financial and operating results for 9 months of 2024:

– revenues from contracts with customers: PLN 3 371,6 million;
– EBITDA: PLN 118.6 million;
– EBIT: PLN -792.2 million;
– net result: PLN -795.7 million;
– freight volume: 52.2 million tons;
– freight turnover 13.517 million tkm.

In the third quarter of 2024, the following one-off events related to the opening of the restructuring proceedings of PKP CARGO S.A. had a significant impact on the Group’s consolidated results:
– a restructuring provision was created in the amount of PLN 149.1 million – the main component of the provision are the costs of severance pay and compensation for employees in connection with the termination of their employment as part of group layoffs,
– the provision for employee benefits in the amount of PLN 103.8 million was released in connection with the termination of employment contracts with employees leaving as part of group layoffs,
– a write-off was created for VAT receivables in the amount of PLN 203.1 million – the write-off concerns VAT charged on invoices outstanding on the day preceding the opening day of the restructuring proceedings in connection with the application of the so-called regulation relief for bad debts in VAT.

The presented amounts are estimates and may change. The final financial results will be published in the consolidated interim report for the third quarter of 2024, which will be published on November 28, 2024.
