PKP CARGO S.A. has concluded two important agreements for transporting power coal. The largest railway freight carrier in Poland has submitted the most advantageous bid in the tender announced by ENEA Elektrownia Połaniec S.A. for the transport of this fuel from Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka and Silesian mines for a total amount of over PLN 222 million gross.
Under the terms of the first agreement, PKP CARGO S.A. will transport 3.35 million tons of coal within 19 months. The estimated value of this agreement is almost PLN 122.8 million gross. The transport will be carried out from LW Bogdanka.
Coal transport under the terms of the second agreement will be carried out from the Silesian mines until the end of 2019, and the mass of coal planned for transport in this period will amount to 3 million tonnes. The estimated value of the second agreement is nearly PLN 100 million gross.

The largest Polish freight operator has already provided and now provides transport of power coal for the ENEA Group - to ENEA Elektrownia Połaniec S.A. and to ENEA Wytwarzanie Sp. z o.o. (former Elektrownia Kozienice), both from LW Bogdanka and from several Silesian mines.
