Invitation to Steam Engine Gala

Steam Engines Gala is one of the largest events popularizing the history of railway in Poland. The event has been organized periodically since 2005, usually in the summer period. Its picnic character gathers approx. 5,000 participants and guests  - families with children  - annually. The focal point of the first day of the event is the presentation of steam locomotives from Poland and abroad as well as demonstrations of historical train depots. On the second day, the guests can observe and cheer the train drivers teams participating int the competition. Additionally there are presentations of steam engines. Additional attractions are retro train trips around the picturesque mountain trails around Chabówka. The public can enjoy the event atractions and learn about  rail history. Special educational programs are prepared for the children.

We invite you to participate in the 15th Steam Engine Gala, which will be held this year on July 20-21.

XV Steam Engines Gala Program

July 20, Saturday, at 9.00-22.00
09.00 - opening of the Open-air Museum and educational zones
13.00 - Steam Engines Parade
15.00 - Historical trains show
17.00 - Performance by the children's band and gymnastic shows of the Delfina and Bartka groups
20.30 - Grand finale of 'Steam Engines Gala' with a special performance of the Multivisual band

July 21, Sunday, at 9.00-16.00
09.00 - Take a peak inside the train driver's room 
13.30 - Train drivers' teams competition

- Retro train trips
- Balloon attractions
- Mini disco
- Special Guest - Wiktor Niedzicki, who will introduce us to the world of science and experiments
- Common painting of the largest image of the locomotive
- Virtual Reality post
- Exhibition of models with miniature trains
